It was so cool!!

I was wandering downtown, heading towards a new pizza place (That was actually good) and I saw this book store, used, so I figured there would't be any books I had not read a ton already (in sci-fi/fantasy at least), but I decided to check it out anyway.

I go inside and there is this adorable black kitty sitting on the counter, it was just waiting for me to come up and pet it. Brightened my day up right there, eventually I pulled myself away from the kitty to go check the books.

Now, I don't read as much anymore as I used to (I used to read a book a day for most of my life), but I still keep up with my favorite authors fairly regularly, including R.A. Salvator, but somehow he wrote a whole series I had never heard of called spearwielders tale. Somehow I missed it as it was written back in 93 (perhaps it wasn't published till recently? I didn't check).

Anyway it's weird/crazy that there was a book by an author I like that I had not read, let alone a whole series!!

But more amazing, they were available at this bookstore (and I have gone to many, many used and non-used book stores over the years). Not just one of them, but the whole series!! I got them all for $10 total.

So I consider this bookstore magic, and I will be returning there. I didn't even look at other books (since I was on foot), and just grabbed these three.

Super cool though!!

Hehe, actually I looked it up on facebook/google when I got home and commented on it's page. Even if it goes poof, it brightened up my life at least:)

There is a book store like that here. It has all kinds of cool stuff including weird school instructional books on everything from cooking to sex ed. But the best part are the 6 or so cats. Theres a huge sign on the door warning of cat allergies.

I'm too old to get another cat, it would out live me (unless it was already old, and I don't want to lose another cat either.

So random cats at book stores = mega win for me:)

Wish more places had pets, it would totally be a draw for many people.

Pretty common here in Texas.

Theres a hobby town USA near me that has a dog and two cats as well.
