maybe, but why change it then? it just looks like a muddied version of the original, while doom 3 was it's own thing. Everything just looked crappy compared to the original (note that this is just to me). The graphics, music etc just felt like they had less pizazz compared to the PC version Doom 1/2. However, I quit early, so I suppose take what I say with a grain of salt.
