Also, the note ended up saying ten to fourteen days. But yeah I guess I can say I was carrying something when it happened.

That sounds like a complicated situation. Your personal health insurance might decide it's an "on-the-job" injury, even if you were just walking at the time, and decide not to cover it. But then your employer might decide that it's not an "on-the-job" injury, because you weren't actually performing the duties of your job right then, and refuse to submit a worker's comp claim.

Might be worth to talking to a lawyer, just to know what your options are.

Yeah. Well I have family at the hospital here so they helped me with filling it out as a WCB claim. Hopefully I can get it covered because thats a long time off work otherwise.

Yeah work flat-out accused me of making a fraudulent claim when I havent even made a claim on their end yet. And apparently the stuff done at the hospital wasnt filled out as a claim either (thought it had been changed after the intake).

My job tries to get people to sign papers saying that say whatever happened to you didn't happen at work before you even get checked out fully. That hate paying for anything. And then wonder why people quit...

I got workers comp for a slip & fall while walking to work. Didn't actually pay anything other than the medical, since I was only off work for like 2 days before I could get to a doctor.
