This is an honest-to-goodness true story.

The place where I pre-ordered Pokemon Silver called me almost a month before the scheduled launch day and told me it was available, so I went to get it.

I completely beat it in about 1-2 weeks while most people on video game message boards were still speculating about what was in the game. Pretty much nobody believed me until after the game came out and everything I said was true.

On another note:

In college, there was a guy who had the "store demo" disc of Mario Galaxy, which was literally the full game. I don't know how he got it, but we beat the entire game almost two months before launch. That's still crazy to me.

No. I've never been lucky enough to get my hands on a game before release.

I didn't get it too long before release date, but I did get Vampyr a few days before.
