The political landscape is changing nowadays and people on the left and right do sometimes share issues with each other.....

For example, mainstream liberals are willing to agree with Conservatives when it comes to allowing free speech and not siding with antifa. or conservatives willing to legalize gay marriage while both can agree on increased background checks and closing loopholes for guns.

One of the issues i can side with conservatives on is that people can change..as long as they addressed it and apologized for it and aren't the same person anymore and proved it by doing things that show it. It's only a problem if someone shamed another person for doing the same thing they did but didn't apologize for it in the past.

That's how reformed white supremacists or people who served prison are given another chance at society so i can forgive someone if they said or did nasty things in the past as long as they aren't the same person anymore

Im in favor of the death penalty for especially heinous crimes

I dont think the US should ever subvert its interests in favor of the UN, who has proven itself to be largely ineffective and honestly uninterested in maintaining world peace

I think political issues aren't usually as black and white as people make them out to be. the reason issues like these persist is because there's something at least approaching a valid point on both sides, even if it's not necessarily always argued for properly.

Hater no. I dislike weed, won't use it myself and generally don't want to be around folk who do use it often(unless for legit medical reasons) however if it was to be regulated like Tobacco I believe it would be safer for folk who do smoke it and stop the police wasting their time chasing folk who grow/smoke it. I'd wager some folk will even quit smoking it if it were legal. I don't see much of a downside making it legal, son.

Im conservative and I honestly cant think of any that issues theyre pushing that wouldnt make my life worse.
1. I work for a healthcare company, so me and millions of regular working Americans would be jobless if one of the radicals gets in to push something that would be garbage healthcare for everyone with insane taxes to pay for it.
2. the gun laws they want to pass only impact law abiding citizens (I cant think of any laws that criminals would follow) also the NRA doesnt sell guns and a member of the NRA has never committed a mass shooting
3. climate change is a power grab for a permanent excuse to take more of my paycheck (hint- the climate will always be changing and thinking one country can control the weather is beyond dumb. Plus the US is already the best in the world at clean energy and clean air)
4. And with the way theyre trying to control speech and redefine speech, well that speaks for itself

I'm a moderate but I lean right.

I'm pro-choice up to a certain point and beyond that only for certain reasons.

I'm for some social services, like healthcare and welfare, but for citizens only.

I'm for going greener, just not as crazy as the GND is suggesting.

I'm for decriminalizing some drugs.

Two of these are right out of the PPC/Max Bernier campaign platform.

Im basically anything pro-Canada and pro-freedom (as much as one can have). A lot of people here seem to be the third option in the poll, even though PPCs platform so far looks the best out of all of them. Anyone thinking otherwise must feel personally attacked by them for some reason.

I'm an independent so I vote against either side depending on which one is the craziest at the time. My approach is very much "do as you will" with the caveat that no one is prevented from doing the same and ones will is not imposed on another.

Right now the Democrats want to impose their will in a massive way and are just handing the Republicans victories in regard to personal liberty. I have agreed with some statements made by a Democrat. To which another Democrat will often respond to them that the statement was a Republican talking point. So I can't even be sure that Democrats have any consistent position.

The Democrats always immediately go after and give little talking time in debates any candidate that isnt sjw friendly. Tulsi Gabbard is a solid example of that.

Many on this board would say I'm firmly on the right but it's kinda funny because the things i agree with them on just dont come up a lot i suppose. Plus, I tend to spend more time calling them out on their clickbait bullshit and that makes them mad. Anyway, I'm ....

In favor of universal healthcare, or at the very least some kind of serious overhaul of our current extremely fucked and overpriced system
Pro weed legalization

Honestly, many of these are just flat out libertarian stances anyway and that word tends to trigger the shit out of people on the left

Men need their own advocacy groups. Feminism, despite its stated goals, is failing to address male issues because of the common presupposition that men are privileged in all aspects of life.

I'm liberal, but I support the death penalty and oppose abortion.

The death penalty isnt really an ideal exclusive to the right or left historically

I'd say illegal immigration is like politically correct outsourcing and the right to bear arms is legitimate.

That said I think the majority of Democrats are pretty moderate on those things as well. Only Beto wants to literally walk into people's houses and take guns away, and I don't particularly like him.

People who think "sjw"s are a political staple are missing the bigger picture imo, as they're generally very unpopular among Democrat voters.

Even though it's not the point of this topic I see the death penalty as fascist, pointless, and just dumb in practice.
