Lots so people still like it. Most are mad at the controls and say they suck. But a lot say its not that bad for a mobile game. Which is true. Its fun enough to waste time playing. And there will always be people who spend money on it. And considering how expensive rubies are in the game (with how limited they are), $30 doesnt seem like much of a stretch, tbh...

It is kind of astonishing how people enjoy spending money on random mobile crap just like that. There has only been one time when I spent at least $1 on a mobile game and the extra content wasnt even that good. Never spent money on a mobile game since then.

People like spending money. It's no worse than buying crap on sale and never touching it.

Gacha isnt really bad. If they wanna make it so you cant spend real money on it, thats fine. But just gacha and lootboxes on their own arent bad...

Of course they'd be neat if they used an in-game only currency, but they never will. Pandora's Box is open. Unless we ban them from allowing monetized premium currency, they are going to structure the games to be predatory.

I'd love to have a $60 shitty mobile gacha where I could farm premium currency instead of having to get nickel and dimed. But it'll never happen.

But you know what, I'm not worried. These games are literally emptying people's bank accounts. There's going to be enough outrage soon that theyll be legislated. The UK is already getting balls deep into it.

This video makes me sad. You cant even have a fucking Mario Kart mobile game without them screwing it up with the F2P and loot box model. 30 rolls for $70. That's more than people pay for a triple A title.

You have those games, though. Not all games are the same. But some give out premium currency well. Like a Dragalia Lost. Technically, it has two premium currencies, but one is pretty useless. The one that isnt can be farmed. And its not hard to do so. But some people dont want to work for it. And would rather buy it. Same with how easy and quick it is to get Lootboxes is Overwatch. It does really take that long. Sure, it takes longer than it did at the beginning. But so does leveling in an RPG...

For Mario, the prices are pretty bad. But, you can also not pay and work to get those Rubies. I had enough for a 10 pull, and am already more than halfway to another one. And havent spent a dime. Some people would rather pay to get it rather than play...
