My Aunt's a really large woman and just can no longer breathe. Doctors are taking her off life support, they are going to let her die.
Her husband calls my mom to let her know the news. Mom had the fucking gall to ask about the money she was owed tomorrow. I love my mom, but fucking Christ she can be heartless as motherfuck. That's just a really shitty, awful thing to do at this time. You put a halt to everything like that, give time to play the funeral, grieve, etc. Something like being owed money takes a back seat.
Did you say something to her? Just explain to her how miserable that was to do? I'm almost at the point that I'm willing to give her the money, just so she'll actually behave how she's supposed to about her dying cousin, the woman she claimed to me for years now was closer to her than her own blood sister.
