It reminds me of Go or Othello, but it's... not

Each player takes turns placing/moving stones. You can either place a stone adjacent to any stone you control, or move a stone 2 spaces away (so not adjacent to one of your other stones).

Afterwards, you flip all your opponent's stones your move is adjacent to. Goal is to have more stones at the end of the game.

It's different than Othello since you don't capture lines, just the up to 8 adjacent stones...

I think it's called Pente or Pentomino or something
