i hate how god awful the axes are in that game

axes in video games are generally a dumb choice because they come with an accuracy penalty, but why would you use a weapon you couldn't actually hit something with?

that doesn't make them into good weapons, just good ammunition.

like -- dude. you have a class that does nothing but break equipment. hello???

imagine if axes were good and you could pair them with charge. that would be so rad.

I agree, Axes are garbage. Same with most of the Fire Emblem games

Do any of them even give you any good Stat boosts? I don't think any do

Oh, but Axes work really well with Jump since Jump takes the WP and does that for the calculation, so you don't have to deal with the random damage aspect of them when Jumping

but aren't lances better for jump?

i was so pissed when charge didn't negate the randomness. that would've been okay. alright not pissed. a bit sad.

For jump specifically,
"If [user] is equipped with any weapon, then

damage = [PA * K] * WP

If [user] is barehanded, then

damage = [(PA * Br) / 100] * PA

where K = 3/2 if the [user] is equipped with a spear
K = 1 otherwise"

JUMP damage is subject to several modifiers. Let PA0 be the jumper's PA as
displayed on the status screen.

1. If target has Defense UP, then (PA1 = [PA0 * 2/3]), else PA1 = PA0
2. If target has Protect, then (PA2 = [PA1 * 2/3]), else PA2 = PA1
3. If target is Charging, then (PA3 = [PA2 * 3/2]), else PA3 = PA2
4. If target is Sleeping, then (PA4 = [PA3 * 3/2]), else PA4 = PA3
5. If target is a Frog and/or Chicken, then (PA5 = [PA4 * 3/2]), else
PA5 = PA4
6. If caster is equipped with a spear, then (PA6 = [PA5 * 3/2]), else
PA6 = PA5
7. Factor in zodiac compatibility:
If compatibility is 'Good', then (PA7 = PA6 + [(PA6)/4]))
ElseIf compatibility is 'Bad', then (PA7 = PA6 - [(PA6)/4])
ElseIf compatibility is 'Best', then (PA7 = PA6 + [(PA6)/2])
ElseIf compatibility is 'Worst', then (PA7 = PA6 - [(PA6)/2])
Else PA7 = PA6
7. Damage = PA7 * WP (armed) or damage = PA7 * [PA0 * Br/100] (unarmed)

oh hi aerostar tell all the guys we finally beat the rollin in cash spam.

this bugs me because jump putting a delay and chance to miss based on the delay on the axe is exactly what i want basically. that's how an axe should work -- you need to time a heavy weapon. simply lowering your chance to hit sucks.

Is that even possible without over lvling? Recall a stage where a bunch of archers have high ground , while Meele units keep u busy.

What, a solo game? I can beat this game with a Level 1 Ramza solo. I've done just about all of these for myself, and I never do random battles.

You can calculate when the Jump will land based on the CT

well, yeah. my point is that if you don't, because not every player will or know to (credit: daravon) there's a very organic reason that you miss attacks with it instead of just a lousy dice roll.
