I once saw a couple argue about using Self Checkout or Regular Checkout at a Walmart once. They were at it for 15 minutes.

Minimum wage shouldn't increase.
That's always an argument that makes me shake my head. Unless you own the business not trying to pay people well, how much more of a blind sheep can you be?

Oh, I do enjoy when someone argues what the other actually likes. Like when a couple is ordering food and the wife reminds the husband how he likes his food.

Once overheard an intense argument some of my coworkers had concerning if Jesus was White or Black... The main logic for the first side being that he looks white in most paintings and Christianity is "European" and for the other side it was that (in their words) Jerusalem and the other major locations in the bible are close to Egypt, which is in Africa, so the people close by would be dark skinned, or Black.

I'm sure I've heard worse but that one stands out because of how entirely sure both sides were of their ideas.

Well, they're arguing over something completely fictitious so that alone makes it silly

There are things out there proving Jesus probably existed, it's just muddy through the times as to what he did, when and where. PBS does a great job pointing out what most likely happened during those times.

From Australia. After work catching train home from city, about 5 private school high school girls get on the train. maybe year 7-9 from my guesses

Anyway they all started to look for clout talking loudily how their parents are rich, how they go holidays 3 times a year, or own 4 cars, or have a boat, 1 of them said oh yeah my yearly pocket money allowance is 50k, another said my dad has a private island, another said how another girl in her class said she has her own house behind her parents house etc. It legit made you mad I wish I could record it to shame and embarrass them and their parents for raising them that way where money was a contest for their silver spoon fed mouths. Obviously I didnt buy any of it as they were on my train heading out west away from the city I wanted to say if your parents make that much money they wouldnt be living out in the sticks even if housing is expensive in this country

Businesses are free to pay employees however much they want over the minimum wage and almost every business that only pays minimum fails to retain employees because they leave for better-paying jobs elsewhere.

To be fair, he was involved in war crimes. Our entire drone program routinely mass-murders innocent civilians including children and animals. On Obama's watch, an entire wedding procession was murdered by a drone strike. And, in all honesty, the full horrors of our drone program will likely never be known to the public. That's not counting the fact that the US's indiscriminate attacks have hospitals and other protected buildings. And Obama also participated in the practice of extraordinary rendition, which basically allowed the US to facilitate torture. That said, most of the recent presidents are also guilty of war crimes. Clinton, GWB, Obama, and Trump could all stand next each other at the Hague.

While visiting my uncle in Hondo Texas, we were having breakfast at a dairy queen and these old guys were arguing about wind turbines and how they would cause all kinds of problems. Apparently one wanted to put a couple on his property. And the others said it would be too noisy. What I dont understand is how noise would be a complain considering a VERY active railroad runs through the middle of the small town(about 1000ish population). Theres no way wind turbines are would drown out the trains.
