Most people seem to think you have to pay for 7 different streaming services to watch a movie, but the library has a ton of free movies as long as you return them within a week. The only catch is you have to get off the couch. Even if they dont have a movie in stock you can request they get it.

Probably not, which is a good thing. It means you can watch even when the internet is acting up.

Yeah, but then I'd have to find a DVD player.

If your computer has a disk drive you can use that.

Libraries don't have everything. Not everyone wants to just watch random movies.

My library just got Hoopla though, which is pretty nice. A good number of foreign films on there.

My library has PS4 / Xbone / Switch games too, and one of the branches has consoles you can use. You book an hour on them just like you would to use their computers.

Depends on the library. I've never seen them available for free at any library I've visited, more like a $2 to $5 fee to rent.

How much do you pay monthly? Does gaming need extra charge?

It wouldn't work for most games anyway, imagine coming back and finding Timmy deleted your BotW save lol

I've been renting a DVD from my library every week since I move back in 2015. I've been cataloging them too on an Excel sheet so I know that this week's movie will be number 200.

Do you rip them as well?

(I remember there was a time when kids at school would rip CDs and DVD movies at the library... back when laptops had optical drives)
