Idea of the pic is pit bulls are harmless if raised right.

Idk. Tbh, idk if I would let my baby cuddle a chihuahua or weiner dog.

I'm always on guard anytime a dog comes near my twin boys. I don't trust any dogs. They don't know what they're doing and licking their faces can quickly turn into biting them for no reason. Never want my kids to grow up with scarred faces all because a seemingly "friendly" dog decided to revert back to its feral instincts. And if a dog did bite my kids, I'd kill the dog on the spot.

That's most likely a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. It's not a Pit Bull.

I wouldn't put a kid that young with any kind of dog btw. Babies have too much going on with the noises and smells.

The neighbors little dog went at my ankle went I walked past. Some dumb reason they let their chains reach the sidewalk. Plus they never shut the fuck up. Im glad they got rid of them. They went from 2 to 3 to immediately 0. I honestly don't care what the story is there. Im just happy they're gone

My neighbor had a golden retriever that would always try to jump over it's fence to attack me when I walked by

Since then I assume all golden retrievers are evil dogs that want to bite everything

I definitely instigate with my dog when I play but he has one those barks that sounds like he trying to bark instead of actually barking. So it doesn't travel. When he gets super excited he sounds like zoidberg. I feel bad for emasculating him when I laugh at his serious barks

I wouldn't let my daughter just lie around on my pit (or any dog) when she was an infant, but she's not quite two and while I wouldn't leave them alone they love to play together.

A chihuahua nibbling on a kids foot for ten minutes is not the same threat as a Pit goring a kid. Its a dangerous fantasy to be more concerned with ill will than actual danger. Thats argument is anti-chihuahua, not pro-pit, so it really doesnt need any amount of consideration.

Brb, I genuinely need to see the stats on "chuhuahua attacks".

Ahh yes here come the clueless pit haters. Still waiting on those stats you were gonna post from 8 hours ago. Ah hell. I'll save you the trouble. Chihuahua's are right at the top of the list in terms of bites. People are just less inclined to report them. But when a pitbull does it "it's the breed hurr burr burrr hurrr."

Have I trained my dog and watched its behavior near my baby to know that nothing bad is likely to happen?

If so, then yes.

Never let your baby around any strange dog or one you know to be unfriendly.
