28 y/o Joshua Brown, Botham Jean's neighbor and ONLY KEY WITNESS to the murder trial of Heifer, Amber Guyger is SHOT DEAD!!

He was gunned down outside his apartment complex at 1030pm as he was rushed to nearby Hospital where he died from his injuries

Witnesses said they heard gunshots and saw a silver sedan speeding out of the area where it appears to be a DRIVE BY

Police have not apprehended or identified a suspect.

He was the neighbor of both Jean and Guyger and his shocking murder comes just 10 days after he broke down on the witness stand as he recounted the horror shooting

Just this past Tuesday, Guyger was found guilty of murder and was sentenced to 10 years in the big house

Prosecutor Jason Hermus who lead the prosecution paid tribute to the young man for bravely taking the stand when OTHERS WOULDN'T and said if more people like him had come forward, the world would be a better place

Lee Merritt, the lawyers for the Jean family also worried about gun violence that might end Brown's life

A FB post shared by him showed that he was still visibly shaken up from the incident when he took the stand on behalf of the prosecution and that Jeans' murder underscores the reality of the black experience in America

He lived in constant fear he could be the next victim in gun violence either state sanctioned or otherwise and says more work needs to be done to deal with threats and that Brown deserves the same justice he sought to ensure the Jean Family.

His murder has led to speculation that his death could be connected to the case as he was the ONLY person on the witness stand to testify against guyger

Brown lived aross from Jean and said police knocked on both their doorson the afternoon of the shooting about noise complaint even though ther wasn't anything loud going on.

He thought it might have been because he and Jean smoked marijuana but that night he left his apt to watch football and when he came back before 10pm, heard 2 gunshots and a commotion and looked through a peephole to see Guyger panicking and sobbing

He sobbed on the witness stand when asked about the victim and said he'd met Jean for the first time that day he was killed and said he heard gospel music and drake songs from his apartment

Judge Kemp broke down in tears from his powerful testimony.

His murder is now being investigated

If they were going to kill a witness over this, they likely would have done it before he testified. Otherwise I like this guy simply because he had the ballz to wear a DBZ shirt to court.

Or they didn't think his testimony would matter and apparently it did. This was punishment. Amber's friends on the force likely set it up because cops are the scum of society.

I could see this. Though not quite as "punishment."
Yes, what she did was egregious, but she was a cop and cops don't usually get convicted, especially of murder. So I agree that they probably underestimated the effect his testimony would have. But now that it's happened, killing him is more about sending a message to future witnesses of police violence, to try and intimidate people into not testifying against them. So the police don't have to worry about being "the next Amber Guyger" (in terms of facing justice; they're totes gonna keep shooting unarmed/innocent people)

This is Texas, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was a racist guy that didn't like that a black guy testified against a white woman. Probably didn't help that she was a cop.
