Depends on how much he was winning and what the per-hand was. If it's $5/hand or something tiny like that then yeah he was going crazy, but if it's higher stakes then it's not unheard of.

I came up with a kinda cool method for Roullet, basically using my birthday numbers, which are in the first 12, mostly. And lightly covered the other 24. It worked pretty well on online flash games. Never tried it in real life. In fact the only real gambling I ever did was on Horses, when they were in town. But never when they were not in town.

I only play 2 Lotto machines

One of the Monopoly ones, which I can't even f'n find anymore. Even looked on Google for a picture, but they all show the newer, worse one

And then this one game where it's not bull shit. You've got 5 reels and it's X to play Each of them [$1-$20] and you press the button. Whatever $ amount shows up on the Reels you bet on, you win. I always play every Reel, and usually only bet $1 [So $5 a spin], I usually win a lot on it

Yep, that's about right

The one I play doesn't have anything lower than what you're betting, though. Well, that's not true. What I mean is that the lowest bet you can make is $1, so the lowest value to win is $1. No 50 cent win

Ya that's what I figured.
It has a reasonable amount of Jackpots.
The free spin one only really does something in free spins.

Funny story, I once showed someone what the max pay out could be on one of those, by creating an outcome in 'the back screen' and surveillance saw it, and radioed to me asking what I just did. They didn't realize you could do that. I think it was a new guy. On the five dollar game, $25,000 would be the max.

No it will pay less than your bet.
Maybe you just got lucky, or were not paying attention.
But I guaranty each reel has a 50 cent or lower position.

You sir are correct. For some reason, women old and young prefer slots, while men prefer table games. In fact, I saw a lot of mother-daughter duos.

It's crazy, people get cash advances, and use credit cards...etc.\
And 3K for Atlantic City is completely believable.

I've paid out a jackpot to someone, who was actively playing another game.
I've seen people play scratch off's while playing video roulette.

TBH, most people only buy their jackpots.

No limit holdem is a skill game with a factor of luck involved. Blackjack is a made game that when played perfectly, at best, it's 50/50 against the house. You have far more control in poker as it's you vs player instead of you vs house, the house simply takes a rake or fee for hosting the game.

Baccarat is the best. I used to win $100-200 a day playing. Gambling in general is too stressful though, and you'll always hit a negative swing eventually, regardless of the game.

Casino games vs the house, yes that's true. Live poker will yield much better ROI if you're skilled though.

Actually against the house craps and blackjack offer the best odds, which again played to perfection at best it's 50/50. 3 card poker has the worst odds against the house, as far as table games go, don't play it. Standard slot machines are basically digital scratchoffs and indeed have the worst odds overall, though people can and do make a living from progressive slot machines. That takes more scout work than actual playing though. As far as video poker, most machines don't offer the odds to be profitable long term, though some do and can be beat with skill.

It's the release from the stress that fuels the addiction.
But most of it is stress, and that's why it is so miserable.

Never play on a digital machine. Those are actually setup to make you lose, like they are programmed that way.

As an owner you can tell them: Of all bets, make sure I get 90% of the money and then give back to players 10%. This makes seem as if you can actually win if you are lucky enough when its time for the machine to pay out.

I was a clerk for 4 years, and for a time this old lady driving a gold Cadillac would come in and drop $500 or more at a time, in the span of ~45 minutes. She'd sometimes win some decent chunks back but lost probably 5 figures overall in that time. She either went broke or went somewhere else to spew her money away.

There was also another lotto reg who once hit $100k from a scratchoff from our store, he was on the verge of getting his power shutoff. He'd probably drop a hundo a week on lotto though. He caught up on some debt and bought a new truck, a year later he was dead broke again, choosing to play lotto over paying bills.

Would that be legal? I thought gaming commissions were around to prevent stuff like this.

I believe the regulations are on how high that value can be. As in it at least should have a min payout of X%. There are some places where they even advertise the payout rate is setup higher than the standard so that people go and play on those machines.

It depends on the class of the casino. But in general, and 94% pay out is considered good.
But you are wrong about one thing...as far as Video poker in concerned, sometimes it will make you win.
That's why the little genie comes out and changes your cards. If eveyone who played that game sucked, the game would hold too much money. Hense, the little Genie.
Also, if you get dealt a royal flush, you could give it back, and you would be delt something that pays the same.
