So in the past we play as different people. Like Altair and Ezio.
But some of them are independant.
So can I skip the entire fucking first game since it's more painful than realizing I won't have my arms broken by Ronda Rousey?

I don't care about the main story. But from the looks of I things Altair only appears in three games and I was told the second one is a better starting point so I can read just te plot for the first one and be good?

Altohugh tbh I really just want to play the Black Flag one first because I hear it's a fun pirate game but not sure if the past is connected to anything else in the story. I genuinely give no fuck about the present day stories

Black Flag and Rogue focus on the same character in the "real world", and they take place *after* the Desmond saga. So you'll be a little confused about what's going on but if you don't care it doesn't matter at all.

Rogue is actually way better than Black Flag imo and it serves as sort of a prequel to AC3. Well, Black Flag is also kind of a prequel. So I guess together they paint a pretty good picture of the events/characters leading up to 3.
