Yeah I listen every week. I miss Artie, and think the show suffers for not having someone there cracking jokes like that, but still enjoy the show for the most part. The puppets they're doing now on the app are great, and his interviews are always phenomenal. Especially enjoy the musical guests. Most of the time it's someone I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to, and I find myself surprised by how good and talented they sound.

I'm enjoying the Michael Rappaport/Brent Hatley "feud". Brent clearly doesn't understand that Rappaport feeds off of his agitation, and his comebacks are grade school level pathetic

Not especially, but I think hes actually a really good interviewer

Ive heard him interview some celebrities and he seems to ask them really thoughtful questions that no one else seems to ask

I love the personal way he conducts interviews. And the fact that he has his finger on the pulse of pop culture. Or...he used to. Not sure if he still does

Eh... He tries... I think he relies on his staff to keep him as current as possible but if you listen every day you can tell he's out of the loop on some things

I feel like he became pretty much everything he professed to hate in the radio industry 20+ years ago, and stopped being worth listening to even longer ago than that.

I stopped listening and enjoying the broadcasts in the early 2000's. Either he changed or I did because one day, I just didn't find him entertaining any more

He's definitely changed a lot over the years, and intentionally evolved his show away from the whole "shock jock" thing and lost some of his edge as a result

For a while he was using Artie as his conduit for edginess, so he could play it safe and schmooze the A-listers to build the show up. With Artie gone and no one to fill the Jackie chair the show has lost most of its teeth, and I can see where older fans would be nostalgic for "classic Stern", but I still enjoy the show. It's just for different reasons than I used to.

Another interesting development over the years has been the rise in podcasting. If "old school Stern" was someone's thing, there's likely to be a dozen podcasts out there that will sate them. And I think Stern recognizes that and realizes, for better or worse, that he can't please everyone so he might as well make the show he wants, critics and scorned fans be damned

A lot of his material wasn't to my liking.
I don't think how he was treated by the FCC was warranted.
