fruit that look "bad", those that people don't pick. For like $1/kilo. Bought 4 kilos, got lots of "ugly" ginger, some fruit, and bit tired looking veggies. I cut up the fruit and ginger also a bit bad looking (but still great) broccoli and put them in the freezer. Gonna make something with the veggies later.

I love that they do this, this way it will lessen food waste and give a reason for people to buy them, since it's cheaper.

How do stores handle food waste in your areas?

Honestly, I was surprised that the ginger were quite fresh, only one was bit old. I think they picked bad sizes or something, got couple quite big ones and several small ones, maybe those are the ones that people don't choose when picking ginger usually.

All tasted normal and good. Aslo the fruit, especially the mango were quite ripe and tasty, tho the mango had some bad parts in the center I cut out.

I have 2 cucumbers. I wonder if I can do something fun with them. I was thinking of a cucumber gazpacho but I dunno if you can save it for a few days?
