It's gonna be all in one take and will be the first time we'll actually see the nerd play the game showing on the screen. I believe we do see him play some of the games that require the peripherals? But supposedly we've never seen the nerd actively input stuff and have those input be shown on screen. Could be interesting. Really comes to show just how freaking talented James is as an actor. He didn't skimp out on the script either and only had very minimal hesitations and what he's supposed to say.
