I only get into games now because I have a gang that plays with me.

For instance, when the new Cod comes out I'll play that shit for hours straight because I'm playing with friends.

But it seems I have just been less and less into video games, especially single player games that require "effort" like inventory management or whatnot.

I can enjoy some single player games like Burnout Revenge where it is simple gameplay and I can play them in short spurts, but a 20 hour single player game that involves RPG elements etc just seems like too much for me now.

I do, but I also used to enjoy long single player games.

For instance I bought RDR2 on launch. Still haven't finished it. I don't remember the last R* game I did not finish. GTA V and Red Dead 1 were like crack to me.

Is Witcher 3, Skyrim, GTA V, RDR1, Fallout New Vegas and 4 shit taste? Highly modded Morrowind? Resident Evil 2 remake?

I like Celeste. My thumbs don't like it though (tendonitis). I have to play that in short spurts. Good reccomendation though.

My fav game I've played lately was Superhot. Simple yet satisfying.

This has happened to me TC, and I really believe its a couple of things.

1. We are getting older(more responsibilities, better things to do, or our interests have changed)
2. You've been playing games for too long in your life. (Take a few months break to find other hobbies or engage in life in a different manner.)

So whatever it was, I know its because.... We are, we are, weeeeeeeeee. Just kidding, but I believe by trying new things, staying away from games for a while(you choose the time frame), and digging more into life you'll find a new passion and possibly re-ignite your passion for games.

Pick up another side hobby if you can. Reading, photography, art, music etc. I was going through a video game rut too (I basically couldnt care to beat a game because my interest fell off 75% through) but I've been doing other things and juggling the time to do each hobby has helped imo and has given my time with each hobby more meaning to me.

I've found as I've gotten older (42 now) that I find one game that I can really get into at a time. Over the last 3-5 years I've played all three TR reboots, one at a time, BotW for the better part of 2017 and for the last year and a half Warframe. I find if there is a game I can get into, I really get into it and enjoy it. I found trying to juggle multiple games is why back before BotW, I just felt like my list of games on the 360 was just a list of chores I was trying to check off. I think this about the only way I can stay interested in gaming anymore. As long as I can find something new at least once a year or so. Though I do foresee me sticking with Warframe for a while.

I think you're right. With game pass, EA access and a million other games I'll go through my library and not be able to pick one because I have so many.

I'm the same way, barley got into rdr2.

I'm leaning on not getting a PS5 when it comes out, maybe I'll consider it later.

I've been plain crash bandicoot on my ps1 (modded ofc) and that's been more fun.
