I used to use the block list but there's a way to remove yourself form it since a certain user does it on here
and his alts to tag you then blocks you so there's no real point

averagejoel has me muted because I kept responding to him calling Israel an apartheid with a link where the UN said they don't endorse the report that came to that conclusion and actively disagree with it. I think he got upset I kept ruining his false narrative.

I've figured out 5 or 6 people have me blocked, including one who I knew because he blocked me after I had posted in his topic which I had tagged. (Might have been a guy who prior to that had me ignored anyway.)

Ignore = Can't see their posts
Block = They can't see your posts (and they need to be ignored first)

Block means they can't see your posts either.

I've a few people ignored, if only because their posts are just worthless trolling/gimmicks that nothing is lost from not seeing them.

I have over 100 people on ignore, none on block yet though. Main value of blocking seems to be to prevent trolls from constantly derailing your topics and I don't tend to make many topics (nor do I have any stalkers, I think) so it's just not too useful to me

nope. not a single person is blocked by me.

as far as I know, I'm not blocked by anybody. only a couple come to mind as far as people who have claimed to block me in the past:

1) one had stated mental issues and threatened to block me... as if I wanted to keep getting quoted by his goofy ass anyway, lmao. he blocked me then unblocked me later.

2) another guy a couple months ago blocked me, and I didn't even know in the first place until I was unblocked, lmao. talk about overestimating your own value in the eyes of strangers, lmao. I thought he simply stopped posting, but his coward ass blocked me and kept talking shit from his customized safe place. got shamed into unblocking me that same night.

Nah I don't block or ignore anyone.

The only known case I've had it happening to me was thompsontalker. He blocked me after an NX (Now known as Switch) leak stated that it was going to use carts instead of discs and he thought that was the dumbest idea of all time and that anyone who disagreed (me) was a fanboy.

He hasn't blocked me on his new account name as far as I know.

There are probably others but they didn't melt down over it like he did so that one sticks out. I had never bothered someone to block me before that.

I have 8 people blocked, and in each case it was someone who made it abundantly clear they were triggered by my posts, so I did them the courtesy of never having to see them again.

I don't know if anyone has blocked me, but I imagine anyone who did wasn't someone I would have enjoyed talking to anyway, so everybody wins.

I have 1 guy blocked. He had some sort of unreasonable problem with me. He's also the only one on my ignore list too. It's just much easier without either of us being able to see anything of each other's.

As for being blocked, idk. I haven't seen any missing posts or anything, and no ones said anything.

Im blocked by the tattlesquad, conflict, goats, maybe awesometothemax after he got warned for randomly attacking me for pointing out that conflict blocked me.

All in all, I like it. I get to not see conflict tell people simply posting that theyre having a meltdown or accuse some hapless poster blogging some mundane life event of whining all the while he and goats save files upon files of dirt on other users for future use.

When dealing with people that pathetic, its no loss being blocked by them. Also gratifying to know that they just cant handle you or their own medicine.

As for me, I dont know how to block someone but I do use ignore on those posters that turn the front page of this forum into something embarrassing to be seen reading. People like vegys objectification of women topics, or that failed pick up artist gimmick account with the numbers. Or those useless awkward scenario posting gimmick accounts with no substance. I dont need to see that.

I don't have anyone blocked, and no one can block me due to being a mod. It's just one of those things that I never really saw the point of. I can just as easily ignore someone mentally but still be able to post in their topics or engage them if they post something worthwhile.
