Look even if Kong goes through a growth spurt, all he's got is his strength against Godzilla. We've seen Godzilla fight enemies that are stronger, bigger, and have more reach than him in the Muto mom and Ghidorah. He still prevailed. They give Kong an extra bit of speed? Godzilla has overcome that too in daddy muto.

I just can't see how Kong will pose a threat to Godzilla in the upcoming film. It's not even Batman vs. Superman level of unbalanced...Godzilla doesn't have a specific kryptonite weakness for Kong to use. It's more like Superman vs. Robin.

I'm fully expecting a lame "What about Morthra?" copout for this battle.

Godzilla will be nerfed somehow, then it will be an even fight. Until Destroyah or Mecha King Gidoriah shows up. Then they team up to stop the new threat. Kong dies while running a distraction play, and Godzilla delivers the finishing blow.

Basically but I don't think they kill off Kong, they are hoping to drag the Monsterverse out as long as they can if this performs better than KotM especially--and Toho can potentially rescind the Godzilla rights but not Kong's.
