Were there concerns that men in trench coats would perform copycat killings in the wake of The Matrix Reloaded? I don't remember much media attention surrounding the film aside from hype that it was getting a sequel.

I'm not trying to make light of the Columbine or Aurora shootings. Those were tragic and my heart goes out to the victims and their families. I'm just asking if the media assumed there would be repeat offenses when The Matrix got its sequels the way the media seems to think The Joker will inevitably cause some act of violence to transpire or be attempted.
