A Job Advertisement looking for a PYTHON HUNTER has been so popular that 2600 people from AROUND THE WORLD have applied for the $15 an HOUR job as an IRANIAN man who used to catch snakes and play with them as a child is one of those vying for the "popular" job..and you must catch them WITH YOUR HANDS!!

Mohammad Ashari is one of the thousands who applied to become a python removal agent in the South Florida Water Management District

The "python elimination project" is an effort by the state to KILL the growing Burmese population

He spent his childhood catching snakes in the mountains where he grew up in Tehran and stored the venomous snakes in a plastic box and played with them..

He's an electrical engineer in Iran and says he LOVES the "most beautiful animal" in the world

He owns 70 snakes, including a Boa and python as the Miami Herald states many were purchased by him ILLEGALLY through the black market

But he claims he'd be an "exellecent" removal agent becuse he's familiar with them and say they never hurt him and he understands their behaviour

And despite the extreme danger to these pythons, it only pays a paltry 15 an hour and comes with a one year contract with NO HEALTHCARE BENEFITS

But the angecy says they are looking for qualified people regionally as you have to be at least 18 years old and sign a WAIVER and have never been convicted of a felony

Asghari said he'd move his wife and 2 daughters to the US if he gotthe job and is waiting ot hear back as his dream is to grow snakes

These pythons can lay up to 100 eggs at a time and have lived to maturity as other people who applied are those from Saipan, Canada and China

No they'll just cut my hours

Considering the added bonuses, that's a lot of money to go after people's escaped pets and their offspring. If snakes don't creep you out, and you're not too squeamish to kill them, that job is a golden opportunity.

I wouldn't since you have to avoid alligators and such in order to catch the pythons, and I live in Florida. Too many poisonous critters down here (cottonmouths, golden orb spiders, etc.) that can kill you long before you catch any python; so you need to be properly trained to identify those threats.
