Credit card rewards are literally free money. Just don't be dumb and change your spending habits and/or treating the credit card itself as a free money. Otherwise you'll be paying interest.
WerewolfPaws posted... Smashingpmkns posted...There's really no reason to not use a credit card for everything. I mean there are a few one-off instances. Like my rent for example charges a 3% credit card fee, but my cash back rewards on my Chase Freedom Unlimited is only 1.5% cash back, so obviously I come out behind on that. So even though I would get 1.5% of $881 back ($13.25), it actually costs me $26.50, so it would be a reason not to. Whereas using a debit card only incurs a transaction fee of $3.95. There are so few reasons not to though. Again just don't be dumb with a credit card and there is virtually no reason not to use one. --- My knee hurts ... Copied to Clipboard!

I pretty much only use my credit cards. There's next to no reason to use a debit card unless you can't be trusted to use a credit card responsibly. You're just losing money if you don't take advantage of points/cash back cards.

Credit card. Finally convinced my wife to put all of our regular transactions on a travel card and we've made 200 bucks in points since July.

You should always use a credit card and pay off the balance each month. It builds your credit history.
