Especially since half of them are probably never used by anyone. I don't get why we can't uninstall them and choose our own pre-installed apps via a list or something, especially when the App Store usually has better versions of the pre-installed apps. I mean seriously, who uses Google Radio?

They're not designed to appeal to you. A lot of people will stick with the default stuff just because it's already there, so it's effectively high-value ad space. Companies pay good money to get their software pre-installed.
