For real, groups like the Arbor Day Foundation genuinely give me hope for the future of the planet. Planting lots of lots of extra trees is a very effective way to help combat climate change. We just need to be pushing to increase the scale of this more and more.

I lost 40 trees in my backyard to the ash borer last year. Didn't plant this year but probably will next. Haven't decided what to plant yet-- not ash, though.
