These things have been absolute motherfuckers the whole game but I just did a mission where I had to clear out two nests and these things can fuck right the fuck off. They have crazy armor, every single one of their attacks knocks you on your ass, half of them spit poison, and that roll attack is bullshit. They also only come in packs of 6 or 7 as well as 3 more including an alpha that join in if you get too close to the nest in this mission. This was fucking painful.

All of that is compounded by the natural jank of the game like all enemies having faster attack animations than you, and all ranged attacks being homing attacks so these motherfuckers can spit poison at a 90 degree angle from their mouth to hit you and can jump half way across the field like fucking Batman to hit you without even looking in your direction.

i haven't touched it in a while. good game, but the jank is for real.

Poison is absolute bullshit in GreedFall. Even if I turn the difficulty down to normal, dealing with poison is just a fucking chore, especially since you are usually dealing with multiple monsters.

boost your skill in the health spell - it works wonders, honestly. i wanna say it completely wipes out the poison debuff upon use.

The slow animations and the AI loving to ignore your buddies makes even that hard at times. I don't remember if there are any armor or ring buffs for casting speed. Animation canceling is bullshit. It just shouldn't exist if you're going to make the enemies so ruthless. Let me take some damage and cast anyway

Yeah, drinking potions is a pain in that game. And it doesn't even register the button input until whatever animation it's running is finished, so most times I'm not actually healing myself because i push the button too soon.

^I have that problem with switching weapons. I end up rolling around just trying to get enough room to do the swap animation. Or swapping back and forth because it actually did work when I was mashing the button.
