thats a price per ounce ratio where it is a good deal but I am also questioning the quality of meat.

When I was in Denver I would go to John Elways restaurant and pay $60+ for a steak!

And... it... was... worth... TWICE... that... much... imo.

Best steakhouse near me sells 20 oz and meal for $26. Rather have that myself than just a steak for 28

Think the best I had mighta been an 8 oz American Wagyu rib cap for $70ish at Gordan Ramsay Steak in Las Vegas. Was my first time trying out blue steak. If I ever try that again, I'll probably go with rare or medium rare.

That being said, I still would enjoy a $28 24 oz ribeye if seasoned and cooked the way I prefer.

Ive never had a steak worth $50.
Theyre just not that delicious or nutritious. I like beef in stuff but just eating a lump of steak is.... not worth as much as people charge for it. Ill leave it at that.

The most expensive steak ive ever had was a deal similar to the one mentioned by TC

$50 for 36oz of meat at Jerome Bettis' restaurant(he wore #36 when he played football).

My mom and I shared it. I recall it being good, however there was a bigass bone in it meaning it wasnt all 36 oz of meat.

$70 a pound? I can't even imagine paying that much for meat.

I think the typical restaurant cost for A5 beef is bout $30 per ounce. Buying it from a supplier is cheaper but still on the expensive side. My friend ordered some wagyu of lower quality priced at $35 per pound for a farewell dinner. It tasted oilier for sure but can't say I noticed the difference. If it mattered, we served it Korean BBQ style so had em in thin strips.

Personally I think something like this would be wasted on me since my palette is not as refined.

That steak looks awful. Is it even cooked?

Blue steak is less cooked than even rare.

I'd try it that way, but I feel like i'd prefer it rare or medium rare

Same. That cut of beef was good but with it only being blue, I missed out on that slight crispy charred surface.
