Board 8 > I've never hated a game universe as much as Outer World's. *spoilers?*

Don't get me wrong. It's well-written so far and is an interesting place to explore. But the society in it (at least on the starting area) needs to be razed to the ground and started over. It's like the bureaucracy episode of Futurama played straight. I suppose it's a sign of good immersion that I feel like both me and my character are always a hairs breadth away from going on a killing spree and I'm someone who always picks the good guy options in games.

Do you have any companions yet? Bring them along to the major points in town and you'll get some pretty good background.

Not yet. When do I get the first one? I've been avoiding the main story and messing around on the first planet because that's how you play these games.

Unless you dislike Ashly Burch, but I dont. Shes really developed since Borderlands 2.

While I'm pretty sure I know what you mean, given that I've played Life is Strange, I read this to mean she's suddenly developed some nice boobs. (And to be fair, Tiny Tina is no longer a kid in Borderlands 3.)

Yeah play the main story for like 10 minutes once you're set free in the world and you'll get a companion. Really worth it, the conversations are much more dynamic. The companions will actually talk to other NPCs as you do, giving you their thoughts, and sometimes you can just be quiet and your companion will have a conversation with them until you butt in.

Update from last night. I think I just got like 20 unique lines of dialogue by just sitting back and watching my companion argue about religion with an npc. The writing in this is so good

its pretty cool, the companions will have conversations with each other sometimes and then later have conversations built upon other conversations they had before. It gives them so much more detail.
