33 y/o Sean Doolittle is so far the only Washington Nationals player REFUSING to meet with racist buffoon TRUMP because he's supporting his WIFE whose parents are LESBIANS along with his autistic brother in law who are against the president!!

He said the main reason he won't go is his wife Eireann Dolan has lesbian paernts and said "I want to show support for them. I think that's an important part of allyship and i don't want to turn my back on them"

Since Trump took office, he has burned transgender people from the US Military and funding for HIV and AIDS research and supported the right of medical providers and adoption agencies to DENY services to LGBTQ+ people

He told the Washington Post his decision to skip the meeting was based on a lot of things such as the policies but that at the end of the day, it was more of the divisive rhetoric and the enabling of the conspiracy theories and widening the divide in this country

He said "My wife and i stand for inclusion and acceptance and we've done work with refugees, people that come form you know, s***hole countries', a reference to Trump's statements against accepting people from African countries in January 2018

Even though he wanted to be there for his teammates, he can't turn his back on his wife and beliefs and said "I just can't do it"

Doolittle also referenced Trump's mimicking of a reporter's disability on the campaign trail while jerking his arms and made faces as Sean said "I have a brother in law who has autism and is a guy that mocked a disabled reporter. How would i explain that to him that i hung out with somebody who mocked the way he talked or the way that he moves his hands? I can't get past that stuff. I want people to know that i put thought into this and at the end of the day, i just can't go"

Other players are considering skipping the event as well as the Nationals team manager has yet to respond

Doolittle is disturbed by Trump and his fanatics pushing conspiracy theories and doesn't support someone who enables these freaks.

This is nothing new, athletes from all sports have been doing this for years. From what I understand a Steelers player refused a visit both to Bush when he was in office, and Obama when he was in office, for political reasons.
