The show does a really good job of recapping the previous episodes. I doubt you will be completely lost.

Not really. I like all of the animated series but it seems a lot don't recommend the first part.

there are recurring characters and storylines that you'll appreciate a lot more if you watch in order

Part 2 is my favorite, for what it's worth.

IDK I personally really enjoyed Part 2 over what I've seen of Part 3 so far, so I wouldn't skip it IMO.
