I haven't finished it. Just got pulled away from it by other things. It seems like top-notch Platinum though.

Fun combat system, hot and cold bosses, really dull world and quest design, incredible cutscene direction.
It's just a bizarre rollercoaster of quality. Worth playing for sure but not a high priority. what were the character action games this year? this, DMC5 and Sekiro? play those two first if you haven't. --- ICON: Kiwami means extreme. ... Copied to Clipboard!

DMC5 is by far the better character action game this year but Astral Chain was surprisingly awesome! A bit rough around the edges but still very charming with some fantastic gameplay. Hopefully Platinum turns it into a proper series, because there are a ton of ways a sequel could turn it into one of the all time greats.
