At least according to him. I'd been shadowing him and he just let me know, he'd seemed pretty sad before.

I don't even want this shitty job lmao. My boss told me to apply today. I've been a temp for 10 months but I've been skating by this entire time. I have to go to the doctor next week, I need better benefits and that's the only reason I'd still do it.

I get that. The only reason I'm working my job now is for the bennies.

I'm actively applying for jobs that pay much better. I have an interview on Friday.

Does the job you are applying for pay more?

I was told it wouldn't be. It's pretty much the lowest corporate level. I'd have benefits for the first time though.

You should tell your boss that you aren't interested in taking on additional responsibility without more pay.

As a temp you are probably better off not being locked into a job where you aren't getting paid your worth.

If you already know you don't want it, don't bother unless you have no problems dropping them when you find something better just like they did to that guy

why would that matter

the only deterrent is paying back an upfront bonus

It depends. Sometimes I do jack shit but when the flood hits it hits hard. Peak season is nigh and I'd be screwing this team if I left at the end of my contract.

I don't want to work any office job, though, is the thing. That's all I can really do around here though, don't want to go back to gyms or retail.

I got an email criticizing my approach to a situation and directing me to do it different. That person emailed my manager. I told my manager that I don't care what that person thinks. She said I have to care because it's important for building trust.

Actually I don't. There's nothing about my job that I have to care about what anyone thinks. It seems juvenile and I'm at the bottom of a massive company's totem pole but I'm not here to kiss anyone's ass. I don't see how that would ever help. I don't think that's worth it and I wonder how much that would change if I got a job working for someone in a company I liked. But I'd rather skip out on this whole job thing, it's boring and I'm not even getting that much out of it. It's easy for now, though.
