For the past month i've added 1 hour and 30 mins of walking to my workout. I usually do a 1 hour workout indoors before going outside to walk. My question is. Is it better to walk/run before or after a workout? Or does it even matter?

There are arguments for both, it partly depends on what your aims are (losing weight, gaining muscle, strength building etc).

Those who argue for cardio after are of the opinion that you want to be at your strongest and most energetic for doing the actual lifting, to maximise your potential progress.

I like this advice. You want to have energy enough to lift. You dont want that weight to fall on you because you tired yourself out beforehand. Use up whatever energy you have left after you lift.

This is my personal reason for doing it like this. Cardio before can help wake you up and get your head in the game, but I definitely prefer to save my best for the weights because that's what has the biggest impact (even on overall weight loss). Do a few warmup sets or a warmup on every new lift, that works fine.

Then on the bro-sciency side of it, there might be potential to burn more fat as you've burned through a lot of your glycogen stores by pushing heavy weights for an hour. I don't know if that's a proven thing, it might be but it definitely sounds like one of those bro science things lol.

1,5 hours of running is a workout in and of itself. I wouldn't do any weight training before or after that. That's a pretty intense cardio session.

I don't really know about walking 1,5 hours...I can't judge how fit / tired you are before or after that. I guess I would do it after working out though.
