1. When they put in an empty mag and don't know to hold the slide release down while racking it. Makes the pistol lock back first. I've seen some guns do this like Kahrs and my little .32 kel tec but it isn't common. It makes it obvious it is empty.

2. Semi auto runs out if ammo and slide doesn't lock back when empty. You see a glock go 'click' and the operator's first instinct is to assume it is empty and not 'tap and rack'. On a DA/SA gun at least pull the trigger again in case of a light primer strike.

3. Pump shotguns holding like 20 rounds.

4. People pumping shotguns 3 times before they shoot for sound effects. You just wasted two shells idiot.

5. Cops/serious people not carrying one in the chamber. A lackey yeah I get it but a cop or a real operator has one in the pipe.

Any more?

That is more common than like Arnold Commando running and shooting full autos and hitting everyone. But to be fair Commando was kinda like a human Terminator

Throw the gun at the guy who somehow took a whole clip to the chest. That'll totally work.

joker spoiler

He shoots off 4 in the Subway cars then shoots it 3 more times. A colt snub .38 holds 5. I have a .22 revolver that holds 9 but I guess not as bad ass a .38.

Yeah, number 4 always irritates me. I get that it's for effect but fucking come on.

That's a classic Arnold move too. To be fair he's spraying and praying but still would be better off aiming it

I caught some of The Matrix Reloaded on TV yesterday. You'd think programs in the freakin matrix would be better shots.

in House on Haunted Hill the guy demonstrates how to shoot a gun while holding it maybe 3 inches in front of his wife's face

for that matter, most movies don't appreciate just how fucking loud guns actually are, even with silencers/suppressors
