A bubbly Latina approached me out of the blue while I was waiting for my ride. Just cold open, "hey, I was just sitting over there, and I kept thinking 'hey I like to meet people, but I don't know' but now I'm here talking to you!"

That spontaneity, her looks, even her hairstyle were very similar to my ex, such that, for a split second, I thought I was being put on. But she's hot and I have nothing to lose, so I go with it. She's bored waiting for her ride, too, so we talk. Music, interests, future career goals, that stuff. I appreciate being approached; I'd like to approach people myself, just to talk, but my appearance is just slightly intimidating and I don't wanna spook anyone.

Been texting since. Seems young, I don't think she's been in the States for more than a couple years, seems naive to our callous ways. I really hope that's just cultural naivety, and I'm not chatting up an actual teenager.

One thing struck me as odd; on the topic of music, she said "I'm a Christian, and I only listen to Christian music." Is that much of a flag? Something that can be handled? Odds of being a cultist recruiter?

Lots of religious girls are just religious for the show of it, and will date/fool around with guys who aren't part of the same faith. There may be an ulterior motive of trying to convert, but as long as you don't mind the occasional God-speak, it's worth a shot.

Btw, none of this is to say you shouldn't follow up with her. More so to just be prepared if it takes an awkward turn.

I told her that I don't listen to much Christian stuff, but I know Judas Priest.

She does not know Judas Priest.

The picture I'm getting is that she's a very sheltered girl that came Stateside from the DR with her whole entire family in tow. It's not too surprising that she's a little weird, given that information.
