And dead silence in the air? I always have to sleep with the tv on. For some reason i can't sleep when it's pitch black and dead silent. >_>

Same, it's like an adult version of a night light. I just can't get comfortable when everything's shut off and quiet.

Some would theorize that night time/darkness is when your ancient ancestors had to be most wary of predators hence why so many people are afraid of the dark.

Same goes for inherent fears to certain animals, like spiders and snakes. Not sure how true any of this is but it sounds good I guess lol.

My friend when I was younger had the theory that the reason teenagers like staying up late is that they used to get the night watch shift back in those days, lol.
