It was prescribed through my palliative doctor, and I'm not sure if I'm gonna continue taking this. Started today, and...I just feel off.

Anyone else had to take either of these?

You have a palliative doctor?

I've never tried either of those

Yeah, I'm a metastatic cancer patient and I deal with a lot of chronic pain issues because of it.

I've had lyrica before. It definitely helped but mad me very crabby and on edge.

I think I read it can cause withdrawal symptoms, too? Like anxiety, and imsomnia? I dunno, I don't think I'm gonna continue with this.

Cymbalta is an antidepressant of the SNRI variety. It's commonly prescribed for neuropathic pain.

Lyrica is pretty much only prescribed for neuropathic pain.

I assume you have neuropathy? Is it because of chemotherapy?

Yup. I've been on oxaliplatin for about a year or so exclusively now. So the tips of my fingers are pretty deadened, and especially my toes.

These drugs say they help with nerve pain. I have pretty severe neuropathy in my feet that I would love to get under control but nothing has worked so far.

Yeah, I don't know if I'm gonna continue. I don't like that one of these has withdrawal symptoms once you've been on them long enough - considering the nature of my disease, I change medicines fairly regularly it seems.

I think I'm gonna wait and talk it out with my palliative doctor on the 22nd.
