Previously I mentioned the Democratic party reached out to me to run for a selection of seats within my county. I told them Register of Deeds was up my alley, since you guys like to masturbate.

Since then I was told to read this

Then fill out a form and pay the filing fee.

Two days later they sent me another text and asked me to consider running for state legislature.
That's be House District 77, and if you have paid attention to other posts I've made on CE you'd know what state I'm in.

The last election was a 77% to 33% defeat to the Democratic candidate. If it's not an arm and a leg to get onto the ballot, maybe I can play the millennial card in the primary or something.

Updates when I get them. I'm sure there's at least another 100 folks with more money than me saying "why the hell not?"

Honestly, if they're the ones trying to pressure you to run they should be paying your fees. I don't actually know the legality of that, but it just seems dumb for their pitch to be "We want you to run for this specific seat, now pay up even though you didn't want this."
