Great way to water down the awesomeness of shinies even more... it didn't really matter in Let's Go, but for a mainline game, it's really disheartening.

I finally got my first shiny in PLGE. Never even seen one in all my years of playing Pokemon. It was just a Bellsprout but it was still pretty awesome.

Glad they're increasing the chances of them appearing, I don't seem to have the best of luck.

The only 2 wild non-scripted shinies I've seen in all my life playing Pokemon since 2000 were a Floatzel in Y and a Graveler in US, which gave me a massive adrenaline rush cause it could have self destructed at any point.

Shiny's are stupid by the simple fact that the vast majority of Pokemon's Shiny version come's on one of two flavours

1) Nearly unchanged. Like most people wouldn't even be able to pick out the one that was "different" when put side by side.

2) Or they're just fucking garbage colours that make the Pokemon look worse.

This wouldn't be so bad if they appeared Shiny in the overworld which apparently they don't (at least from what I've read). Since they don't appear Shiny, it really sucks tbh.

shinies are way too rare anyway. I've played like 20 runs of pokemon games and I've never encountered one, so what's the point

In case anyone was wondering the 2 legendary pokemon you can catch are shiny locked as are the Meowth, Eevee and Pikachu from pre orders and let's go save files and sadly the demo does not count. They cannot evolve at all but they are the only ones who can Gigantamax

Where'd you see that? I mean it wouldn't surprise me, but we do know that shinies and cover legendaries (if not all legendaries (assuming there are any...)) are indeed shiny locked

They aren't a screamer encourted a shiny Mudsdale you really should only do those raids alone because as difficult as they are you can keep trying and the shiny will still be there, if you used human help that help could fuck you over because the one who deals the finishing blow to the pokemon gets first dibs on catching it and these raids have a near 100 percent catch rate

So imagine doing all this hard work to claim a shiny but because you weren't the finishing blow dealer you lose it to one of your teammates.
