Yeah. Sick, right?

I think its because I was legit scared the first time I played it. And so with every bit of progress I felt a rush. Even more so, was that feeling, when I beat the game. And then when I beat the 2nd play through. And then it became about beating it faster and faster. And then about beating hunk and tofu. And then... even though I was done... I just kept beating it cause 1) fuck it but also 2) I was a kid with no job and had to wait for mommy/daddy to buy me a new game.

Thats OK. Beating a game 5+ times and beyond isnt exactly normal. Playing a game 2-3 times, at the most, then moving on to the NEXT GAME, is a healthy amount of times to play a game. Try playing a new game. You are not exactly obligated to beat your favorite game 20 times. The fact that you dont want to do that anymore means that you are normal. If you wanted to continue doing that, you would be abnormal. Get it?

Theres plenty of options rather than playing the same crap over and over and over and over again, even if its a good game. If all else fails, read a book. You can even read a book about game history. I just dont agree with the obsessive replaying of games. Unless youre a speedrunner. But thats a whole other topic.

Also, Wind Waker, while I do like the game and beat it (once), its still one of the worst 3D Zeldas. Not worth playing endlessly.

You don't have to obsessively play it. But replaying an old game you like can be fun. And you can do things differently in some. I mean, I like reading, but it's a very different thing than playing a game. I don't see why speedrunners get a pass just because they rush through it. And it's not really abnormal to replay a game you like.

Also, I'd put Wind Waker in my top 10 Zelda games. Though, I wasn't a fan of Twilight Princess (for 3D games)...

lol, this made me think of coming up with "eras" for when accounts were made. You'd need to find the years where there was a boom in new accounts to find your account boomers though.

Yeah, except that I was quite young when I made my account, and Im very much a Millenial. Oops. And the accounts of the next two posts after mine, which both disagreed with me, were also quite old, being from 2005 and 2006. And for all we know, both of them were substantially older than me when they made their accounts. So I dont see how account age is an accurate barometer of anything, really. Also, I see people with accounts made in 1999-2001 all the time. Go bother them.

Also, Im confused here. So Millenials and Zoomers like playing the same crap over and over again, rather than trying new games, and Boomers like a greater variety? Im sorry to hear that. I had no idea Boomers had such good taste. And Millenials like playing average 3D Zeldas way too often? What a shame. I guess I was born too late.

Presuming you mean the GC one, you should see if you can play the remake some time. I used to agree that it was solidly outclassed by most other 3D Zeldas (Not TP, but probably every other one), but WWHD is a serious contender for best 3D Zelda. The remake just makes the game so much more enjoyable.

If you find it fun, there's nothing unhealthy about doing it (except in cases where there is some kind of inherent unhealthiness to the activity). Replaying a game (or conducting any other sort of leisure activity) purely out of a sense of obligation is dumb, yes, but if you enjoy doing it, why not?

No. Nobody said that. You also seem to think that if we replay games, than we don't play other games. Just because I go back and play older games doesn't mean I don't play new games. It just means that I like that old game and want to play it again. For any reason. Like, I really like Legend of Dragoon's battle system. I haven't really seen many games like it. Especially in the last however many years. I think a few games are similar, but it's still very unique. Or even Space Channel 5, which definitely have similar games (because it's just a type of rhythm game), but is still different from other rhythm games. Even if it's just the music, characters, etc...
