More recently craig and tweak are being treated as a gay couple beyond just laughing about gay people and they do also occasionally get into legitimate struggles of gay people. For trans people they just use it for cheap jokes and haven't actually looked into trans people's perspectives like they have for other minority groups. The closest they went was the episode where people decided they were ok with trans people using whichever bathroom, but there weren't even any trans characters in that episode, just people pretending. Maybe bring in somebody who's actually trans and not just lying or trying it out a gender surgery for the hell of it? I can't speak for other people, but I wasn't bothered by the episode this week and I agree with them that trans athletes are just too strong to compete in women's events (not a very controversial opinion really).
