And that is what worries me about the whole dog-and-pony show. No matter how thorough the investigation, how solid the case, how mountainous the pile of facts, the Senate will not do its job. In that sense, no matter the legal necessity of it, this is a waste of time, money, and political capital.

And, until deep systemic issues like the Electoral College are fixed and / or removed, it will only continue while Xi and Putin laugh into their sleeves at how big a failure this democracy has become (... admittedly with their help).

Fiona Hill just drove another nail in Trumps coffin and destroyed another GOP defense so badly that Nunes had to stop their counsels, Steven Castor, questioning to clarify that Orange Man good.

She said that Mr. I-cant-remember Sondland told her that hed be in direct communication with the president regarding trying to get Ukraine to make that public announcement into the Bidens.

Some scary points are:

-Ukraine was actually going to make the announcement, and on CNN no less.

-Ukraine was going to do so after the money was released but this whole impeachment process stopped them.

-There was a strong possibility that Trump wasnt going to release the aid even AFTER they made the announcement.

-Despite how crazy Giuliani has been here in the states... it pales in comparison to the damage he has done running around Ukraine.

-If the whistleblower had not come out wed all be in the dark.

-Trump was forced to release the call and face this to a degree BUT... we were reminded that in Helsinki he took and destroyed the notes of the note taker when it was just him and Putin. Now WTF was said there?

Senate races are state-wide, gerrymandering from 2010 won't save Republicans from the wrath of the general populace. The impeachment's only a few weeks in and already 51% don't just disapprove of Trump (I think that was around 70%?), but think he should be removed from office.
