I watched the original trilogy only for the first time maybe 5+ years ago or so. I thought they were okay. Didn't grow up with them and have no emotional attachment.

Anyway I just watched episodes 1 and 2 this week.

I'm not trying to be contrarian but I enjoyed them. They seem fine. The little kid playing Anakin is cute. Sure there's a few cringe lines but I liked him. Also Darth Maul is cool (but I guess everyone likes him?).

Hayden Christiansen is kinda shitty... but also I view his emotional immaturity as part of him just being a fucked up guy. The CGI held up for the most part to me. The jedi vs those monsters and then the clones vs the droids was cool. The podrace was also cool, although it did drag a bit and could have used music.

The only bad one is 2. They all have cringey dialog, but Anakin vs Obi is an incredible fight

Also the scores in those movies are phenomenal. Music is one of the most important parts of Star Wars and the lack of it in the new movies is evident

I dont like sand.
