By that I mostly mean Rambo: First Blood Part II.

After killing police dogs, maiming deputies, wounding a police chief, and accidentally killing an officer, a Vietnam veteran is pardoned from his prison sentence to go take pictures of a suspected P.O.W. camp in Vietnam. Once there, he rescues a dozen prisoners of war, kills several Vietnamese soldiers including an officer, and even takes out two Soviet Russian officers.

What would the response to that be? Would it spark World War III? I'm pretty sure the U.S.S.R. would want answers for the deaths of Lieutenant-Colonel Podovsky and Sergeant Yushin. Would Rambo be thrown to the wolves? And if so, would it be the right call? What would the response be in the US if the news of rescued P.O.W.s became public? Would Rambo be heralded as a hero or would it be taken as an abuse of power to let him go after all the death and destruction of the first movie?

There are so many questions.

Soviet cant do anything because then the public would know that they tortured American citizens.

Their cover might already been blown if news outlets in the US get wind of what took place. Those freed prisoners of war would doubtlessly have their testimonies.
