When he introduces Nuclear Man, he begins to wax nostalgic about his rivalry with Superman before stating, "Parting is... inevitable." His expression as he says it goes from one of a gloating victor who bears his adversary a begrudging respect to one of an individual contemptuously stamping out a cigarette with his boot.

It's funny that, as many good interpretations of Lex Luthor as there are, the moment I most associate with him would be from such a bad film. It was enjoyably bad -- I might be in the minority on that one -- but it's still an overall bad movie. It's just such a petty moment and it really marks him as the villain.

It might not be the most faithful interpretation of the character, but I really get the sense that Gene Hackman was having fun with that role.

It'd just be Lex Luthor as Donald Trump.
