I don't quite get the linkage between job and your need for a laptop.

Is it because your employer supplies/doesn't supply it, or you intend to use a work laptop for personal use?

I have a good enough desktop at home that puts out 4k. I just need something to play 60fps at HD resolution. Which a 1650 would do.

Which now begs the question, do I want more money if I can't play games or study at work... Fascinating questions
