It was kinda refreshing to not have to go through another Dynamax animation tbh. That town was complete garbage though. Literally a hallway.

They managed to shove like 5 different plot lines in the last two hours lol that end part was God awful.

Like, I know pokemon isn't known for it's story, but that endgame was a perfect example of how not to tell a story. The first half of the game brings up plot points that either aren't relevant to the story, never touched on, never explained, or happen off screen. Like the explosion that seemed like the start of the big adventure only for Leon to deal with it off screen, or Bede's redemption happening off screen, or the cover legends disappearing from the story until the end, hell Eternus is the biggest example since it's at no point brought up until five minutes before the final battle. One of my favorite examples is in the postgame, you're introduced to Sonia's assistant , who has no name but and is supposed to be very close to Sonia, two minutes later this nameless character betrays Sonia and its supposed to be a shock

I liked the concept of it just being a shithole where the leader refused to move anywhere else, but yeah, it just being a hallway kinda sucked. I did like that Piers was kinda unique in that he wanted to win without using Dynamax.
