EvenSpoonier 12/02/19 8:18:58 AM #2:	In Matthew 4-1:11 and Luke 4:4-13, Satan tempts Jesus to abuse his powers or otherwise step away from his role, and this is not the only time Jesus is said to have seriously considered it. In fact, if the incident at Gethsemane shortly before his execution is any indication, he briefly gave in and flat-out asked to be dismissed, though God appears to have talked him out of that and supported him through to the end. So, what if you want to be Lucifer but God tells you you're Jesus? Go be Lucifer. God may try to talk you out of it, but if you persist He will let you go. The opposite is easier. Nobody told Satan to go be Satan; he chose that on his own. You want to be Jesus but God tells you you're Lucifer?
