I just started playing it. Like, an hour into it and just started exploring the main lobby just started. I'm getting my ass kicked lol. Just when I thought it was going to be a bit easier for a bit when I found a turret to carry out, a fire Phantom shows up and...well yeah. It would be easier if I had something other than a wrench and the GLOO. >_>

There's only like a handful of guns in that if I recall.

You can sneak into a security office from the main lobby and get both a shotgun and a pistol I believe. That said it was too hard for me too >.>

Later on, you'll probably be spinning your way through Talos I like a whirling engine of destruction. As fun as that is, you'll start to miss those days when you were actually nervous whenever you could hear an enemy but not see them.

I did try going to the security office at first, thinking I could *maybe* hack it with my Hacking I. It needs a card though. So I'll just keep an eye out for that lol.

aw, that's kind of unfortunate. I love the atmosphere of the game right now, too. Just feels like I wasn't understanding all the mechanics available so I asked you guys.

Oh fuck yes most underrated and overlooked game of this generation.

Early on you gotta be sneaky, I recommend investing in to least the first level sneak perk and upgrading your Gloo Gun.

Turrets are useful against mimics, typically they are not gonna do well against phantoms unless you set up an ambush kind of situation and have more than one turret. I don't really use them much.

Definitely always keep an eye out for explosive objects in the environment because you can throw them at enemies. Also engineering upgrades let you carry heavy shit, which can also be surprisingly effective as thrown weapons.

Shotgun is the best general use weapon in the game, always carry lots of shells as you can put down most enemies fairly quickly with it.
